Eliphalet Nott (1773 - 1866) the father of Sarah Nott Potter was the 4th President of Union College from 1804 to 1866.  Eliphalet Nott Potter (1836 - 1901) son of Alonzo Potter) was the 7th President of Union College from 1871 to 1884.
